Every phase has an energy that you can align with to make you life EASIER. Then you add in the energy of the zodiac sign the moon is that day, and you get to create magic with ease. The moon literally gives us a framework to design our life around if we only take advantage of it by attuning ourselves to its energy.
What is Moon Magic?
Before we delve into the practical aspects of moon magic, let’s start by understanding what moon magic is all about. Moon magic is the practice of harnessing the energies of the moon to manifest your intentions, amplify your spells, and connect with the rhythms of the universe. The moon is a symbol of feminine energy, intuition, and the ebb and flow of life’s cycles. It has a profound impact on our emotions, moods, and the natural world around us.

What does using moon magic look like? It looks like planning your life around the phases of the moon so you don’t feel guilt when you’re in a lower energy phase. It looks like launching your business with more ease. Or keeping up with house chores in a way that feels easy and natural. Manifesting is soooo much easier when you follow the lunar cycle.

The two pieces of the Moon Magic formula:
There are two parts to moon magic: the moon phases and the zodiac the moon is in.
I want you to think about the phases as the framework of how to structure your life and think of the zodiac as the unique energy of the day.
Here’s the rough framework you’ll use each and every lunar cycle:
- New Moon: Create intentions and a goal
- Waxing Moon: Take action on that goal
- Full Moon: Celebrate yourself and adjust how you’re approaching your goal
- Waning Moon: Complete goal and reflect on what went well.
Once you have the framework provided by the lunar cycle’s phases, you’ll add in the flavor provided by which zodiac sign the moon is in each day.

How to Attune Yourself to Moon Phases and Their Energy:
Ok, you want to attune yourself to the moon, how do you get started:
- Track the moon and what zodiac sign it’s in each day. There’s lots of free apps for this OR a simple google search will tell you where the moon is each day. If you want to track the major moon phases check out this post: Moons of 2024
- Start a journal tracking your emotions and what you did that day along with the phase + sign the moon is in
- Track for at least two full lunar cycles (new moon to new moon; full moon to full moon; etc.) and start noticing patterns in your emotions
So track, track, track. Follow the basic formula with the moon phases. Then once you’re comfortable with the framework, add in the energy of the daily zodiac.

Embodying the magic of the moon
Now that you understand the unique energy the moon has each day (phase + zodiac sign) you’ll use that information to align yourself to the energy of the moon each day. This is where it gets to be like an experiment. As you track the lunar cycle you’ll start noticing how your energy ebbs and flows on average. You might find yourself decreasing in energy as the moon wanes and increasing as the moon waxes. From there you get to structure your life in a way that plugs into the moon’s magic and create your dream life with so much more ease than if you were constantly trying to be high energy and push, push, push. The moon gives you everything you need to be successful as long as you tap into it.
